5609185994_4623e30a8a_bΩ Every weekend, new problems are climbed at Flock Hill. It’s ridiculous. I can’t keep track. Here’s a new one, no idea where or how or what grade. But looks hard. Ω

Ω Richard Dale has climbed Cave Rave in the Hollow Mountain Cave, Grampians, Victoria, Australia. This Klem Loskot problem follows Cave Man into the crux of Dead Can’t Dance and finishes up Rave Heart and, based on a 30 second Google search, gets a rating (say that word the way Andy Raether says it: raay-ting) of somewhere between V13 and v14, depending on who’s asking. Either way, it’s surely the hardest boulder problem ever climbed by a Kiwi. Guess that’s why they call him Sticky! Ω

Unless I’m mistaken, it shows (pretty clearly) that gravity levels in Europe and North America are weak (perhaps the weakest of anywhere on the planet) while gravity is New Zealand (relatively) much stronger.  That might explain a few things in the climbing world….like the fact that overseas hotshots can’t climb harder than V5 at Castle Hill…Ω
